The Hong Kong premiere of Tan Duns Violin Concerto Hero captures the vast artistic vision of the epic martial arts world, while Elliot Leung’s Wuxia depicts the chivalrous spirit of Jin Yongs novels through music. Opening with Shostakovichs Festive Overture, HK Phil Principal Guest Conductor Long Yu conducts this music of magnificent momentum and grand passion, together with HK Phil Concertmaster Jing Wang and dizi performer Feng Tianshi.
