You are welcome to join one of the many tours we offer, designed for different visitor backgrounds and needs. We hope to expand the possibilities for dialogue between art and the public. 

School Tours: From 10 June 2025 onwards, Tuesday to Fridays at 11am, 2pm to 6pm

Weekend Public Tours: Cantonese or Putonghua Sessions: 2pm-3pm, English Sessions: 4pm-5pm

Private After Hours Tour: Monday 5pm-5:45pm and 6pm - 6:45pm, Tuesday to Sunday 10am-10:45am, 7pm-7:45pm

Private Tour during Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11am to 6pm

Remarks

  • There are no public parking spaces in Tai Kwun.
  • All participants must abide by the visitor policies and guidelines. Food, drinks, umbrellas, tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed into the galleries. Participants can bring handbags or backpacks into the galleries, which must be carried in front of the body when visiting.

Teacher Programmes and School Tours

Tai Kwun Contemporary offers a series of teacher activities and free school tours for the exhibitions. By exploring the current exhibitions, meeting up with curators, and taking part in artist workshops and discussions about art education, we hope to build a platform for the sharing and exchange of knowledge about contemporary art knowledge, thus developing together effective pedagogical practices in contemporary art. Capacity: Maximum of 20 people per guided tour

- Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email within 10 working days after applying. Please present the email when visiting. 

- Once the date and time of the school tour has been confirmed, if further changes are required in terms of date/time or number of visitors, please email learnart@taikwun.hk together with the following information. 

- The applicant’s name and contact number 

- School tour date, number of people, and selected tour language

Guided Tour: Who's Next?  

Join our art professionals and educators for a unique guided tour of the upcoming exhibition On Kawara at Tai Kwun Contemporary. Discover the works of On Kawara through our guest tour guides' eyes as they share insights into their fields of specialty. 

Date: 31 May - 17 August, 2025 Saturdays and Sundays

Cantonese or Putonghua Sessions: 2pm-3pm

Private After Hours Tour

Experience a Private After Hours Tour led by Tai Kwun Contemporary senior curator or curator of the exhibition On Kawara: Rules of Freedom, Freedom of Rules, so that you can appreciate the works up close. You will get to interact with the artworks together with the curators during the gallery's closed hours.

Private Tour during Opening Hours

Led by curator or docent, visitors will be able to further explore the exhibition On Kawara: Rules of Freedom, Freedom of Rules. Through explanations and interactions, visitors will gain unique insights into behind-the-scene aspects to the exhibition, such as the artists’ creative processes, techniques and sources of inspiration.

Special Arrangement of Rehabus Drop-Off

Parking spaces are unavailable at Tai Kwun. If a Rehabus is arranged as transportation to Tai Kwun, a drop-off point will be arranged at the Loading Bay. Rehabus Drop-Off Arrangement applications will be considered based on operational feasibility.

Please provide Rehabus Vehicle Number at least 1 week prior to the confirmed visit date. For arrangements, please email groupvisit@taikwun.hk.
