Highlights
Marking a new era for its landmark Tsim Sha Tsui address, Aqua Restaurant Group unveils the transformation of the top floors of One Peking this September with the debut of Canton Library on 29/F and the reopening of Vesu Pizza Bar on 30/F. These two distinct concepts reimagine the building’s iconic harbour-facing perch as a contemporary cultural and lifestyle destination for Hong Kong.
On 29/F, Canton Library introduces a modern-heritage Chinese dining experience inspired by Lingnan culture, extending beyond everyday Cantonese fare to spotlight the diverse regional influences that have shaped southern China over centuries. Just one floor above, Vesu Pizza Bar makes its high-voltage return with a refreshed interior, next-level pizza programme and an upcoming series of guest chef collaborations that bring the region’s leading pizzerias from 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific to Hong Kong’s skyline.
A Lingnan Culinary Story High Above the Harbour
Conceived as the next chapter in Aqua Restaurant Group’s expansion plans, Canton Library pays tribute to the regions south of the Five Ridges – including Guangdong, Guangxi, Chaoshan, Hakka areas, Hong Kong, Macau, Hainan and Southern Vietnam – historically shaped by coastal trade routes and maritime exchange. The new flagship celebrates the region’s welcoming culture, inviting guests to explore the rich diversity of southern heritage through food.
Led by Executive Chef Junno Li and Executive Dim Sum Chef Leung Kwok-wa, the culinary philosophy balances heritage craft with a contemporary, globally minded perspective. Driven by boundless culinary imagination, the hot kitchen spotlights premium coastal seafood by pairing time-honoured Southern China techniques with modern refinement. Each dish is crafted to deliver rich depth and vibrant aromas while maintaining a refreshing balance that lets the seafood's quality shine. This approach underscores the restaurant’s commitment to respecting heritage while embracing contemporary culinary expression. Meanwhile, the dim sum program showcases technical mastery by transforming classics and nostalgic comfort food into elegant, bite-sized creations that deliver complex flavor in a single mouthful.
Canton Library’s beverage programme extends the narrative, framing the bar as a modern bridge between traditional southern Chinese tea culture and contemporary mixology. Guests can expect a curated list of premium teas served alongside tea-led cocktails, such as an Oolong Old Fashioned and Osmanthus Fizz, designed to complement the Southern Chinese menu while offering an atmospheric, all-evening destination.
Set against floor-to-ceiling views of Victoria Harbour, the main dining room pairs plush teal velvet seating with dark wood and gilded lattice detailing to evoke a sense of modern-heritage luxury. Four private dining rooms, three of which can be combined into a larger space, make Canton Library an intimate setting for celebrations, corporate entertaining and seasonal gatherings, all within a breathtaking harbour panorama.
The Pizza Bar Is Back — and More Lit Than Ever
One floor above, the reimagined Vesu Pizza Bar returns to its skyline loft, channeling the brand’s fiery Neapolitan soul and Hong Kong edge through its signature “BITE SIP SHARE” philosophy. Pouring volcanic energy into One Peking, the space takes on an edgier, personality, featuring playful neon art installations, moody crimson lighting, and industrial-chic accents that frame sweeping harbour views as a dramatic backdrop to evenings out.
Vesu’s menu will serve new dishes alongside its iconic Neapolitan pizza style. The menu moves seamlessly from timeless classics to the adventurous “Vesu World” series. Signature creations, including The Ducky – a cult favourite created in collaboration with sister restaurant Hutong as a playful homage to Peking duck – and Carbonara, a rich tribute to Italian tradition with crispy guanciale, Fior di Latte and custard egg finished with Pecorino and black pepper, will sit alongside new seasonal additions.
Fueling the atmosphere, Vesu’s drinks menu shines as a destination in itself. Offering everything from non-alcoholic mixology to curated sips, each creation brings a bold personality and adventurous spirit designed to keep the energy flowing all evening.
