Enamel Filling and Raden are traditional Chinese craft techniques that showcase the exceptional skills and artistic achievements of ancient artisans. They are renowned for their intricate and durable enamel decorations on metal objects, while Raden features iridescent patterns created by inlaying mother-of-pearl or abalone shells, symbolizing luxury and refinement. These techniques have been passed down for thousands of years and have profoundly influenced the artistic traditions of East Asia.

About The Workshop:
Experience the art of Enamel Filling and Raden in a simplified, accessible format. Participants will fill pre-made metal compartments with vibrant enamel powders, using an easier technique that captures the essence of this ancient Chinese craft (No firing or high temperatures required with colored sand).

Using easy-to-learn techniques, participants will create stunning designs accessories without the intricacies of traditional methods.

Note:
- This workshop offers an accessible approach to mastering the fundamentals of cloisonné and raden.
- Participants will take home their accessory (two alloy based hair clip/pin or one hair claw) at the end of the class.
- Workshops can be taught in English or Cantonese
- 1.5 – 2 hours workshop
- Suitable for participants aged 10 and above
