Hong Kong Ballet presents the stunning ballet Frida, which tells the life story of one of the most intriguing artists of the twentieth century: Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. A blazing symbol of female liberation and surrealism, Kahlo is honoured through a hauntingly beautiful tribute produced by Colombian-Belgian choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. Set against Peter Salem’s enchanting original score, infused with vibrant mariachi, flamenco and jazz music, the compelling characters in Frida’s magical world are exuberantly brought to life.
