Little Fish Journey 2026

Little Fish Journey 2026

Step into the mountains — listen to the story of Little Fish, immerse in the beauty of music and embrace the joy of inner stillness.

This workshop is inspired by ‘Little Fish’, a storybook written by KFBG Chairman Andrew McAulay. In the story, ‘Little Fish’ experiences uncertainty and growth through exploration, ultimately finding harmony with nature. Drawing from this narrative, we invite you to become the protagonist of your own ‘Little Fish Journey’. Guided by Allpamama, you will set off from the foothills and slowly ascend to KFBG’s highest point – Kwun Yum Shan (around 552m above sea level) – in a completely new way.

What makes this journey unique:

A Silent Walk – We invite participants to remain mostly silent throughout the walk. This quiet allows you to fully open your hearing and bodily senses to listen to the wind, leaves, insects and your inner voice, engaging in a deep dialogue with the surroundings.

Flowing Soundscapes Along the Way – Allpamama transforms the natural landscape into a living soundscape. Along the path, you will encounter carefully curated musical experiences placed throughout the forest. These sounds are not performances, but gentle guides to help you sink into the present moment and connect with nature.

A Fulfilling Arrival - The journey culminates at sunset on Kwun Yum Shan, where a final singing bowl performance takes place. Amidst the vast landscape and resonant sound of the bowls, you may complete a personal transformation from uncertainty to clarity, from self to the cosmos.

Important Notes:

Route: The walk ascends from the lower hills (approx. 180m) to Kwun Yum Shan summit in stages. Walking time is about 90 minutes. The path is steep and requires a moderate level of fitness.

Mental preparation: This is an introspective, mindfulness-focused activity. Please be ready to set aside words and experience the forest through your body and senses.

Not suitable for: Individuals with heart conditions, high blood pressure or knee problems.

If you’re ready, like ‘Little Fish’ in the story, to embark on a journey of personal transformation and seek a deeper connection with nature – we await you in the forest.

Facilitators

Allpamama

Inspired by a trip to Peru in 2010, Tsang Man Tung founded Allpamama upon his return to Hong Kong. With art, music, life, and meditation as its four core pillars, he launches workshops to help people regain a balanced state of health. Allpamama collaborates with local and international partners to share the practice of meditation, including organisations such as Dharma Drum Mountain Hong Kong Centre, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, International Bodhisattva Sangha (Taiwan) and more. Over time, Allpamama has developed various art projects to present mindfulness in an aesthetic manner, integrating it into our daily lives. These projects encompass the Meditative Theatre series, Samana, the Bless This Land 2021 online exhibition, the film theatre The Light of Metempsychosis, and Sounditation (since 2022).

Note: Allpamama originated from pre-Inca culture's language Quechua, meaning ‘Mother Earth’.
