Ochadozo (Instagram: @ochadozo.co, https://www.ochadozo.com) is delighted to present this BYOB Matcha event at Project House@ Chun On Pawn, located at the former site of the 100-year-old Chun On Pawn Shop.
Great thanks to the organizer OneBiteSocial for their Project House initiative which turns this historical venue into a shared community space. This give Ochadozo a chance to promote Japanese tea culture by crossing-over hands-on Matcha events with local culture and venues.
Each participant will bring their own favorite bowl, and we will provide a 1-person portion of matcha powder from Japan, hot water, and a bamboo whisk for participants to use at the venue. We will start off with a brief demonstration of matcha preparation and whisking techniques. Participants will then whisk and taste their own bowl of matcha, and if time permits and as they wish, share stories about their bowls, and write down any thoughts or draw images that come to mind.
Participants can bring any favorite bowl of theirs (preferably a ceramic bowl ≥11cm diameter ≥7cm height, but other bowls will do).
