Happy Valley: A Cultural Landscape

General

Join our special curator-led tour of the heritage thematic exhibition Happy Valley: A Cultural Landscape. This exhibition delves into the landscape transformations and the dynamic interactions between people and the environment that have shaped the character of Happy Valley. Visitors are taken on a journey from past to present, discovering the layered life of this evolving valley as one of Hong Kong’s iconic cultural landscapes.

In this tour, the curator will be introducing the different cultural connections in the landscape, as well as the values and meanings that have been built upon throughout Happy Valley’s history. The exhibition reveals the interwoven experiences and everyday relationships that people have with the Valley, allowing participants to develop a new understanding of how we can see our city and urban heritage conservation in a holistic manner. The exhibition’s core message guides us towards the path of building an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient future.

The exhibition Happy Valley: A Cultural Landscape is part of the 140th anniversary activities for The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
