05/07 - 12/07
A space to pause and slow down in this hustling and bustling city.
On the first two Sundays in July, embark on a sensory journey in PMQ: led in by golden wire, carried home by sound.
Begin with the Hands
Cloisonné, an imperial craftsmanship, is the art of bending fine golden wires into form, then filling each chamber with vivid enamel. Every finished piece is patience made visible, intention made permanent. We will walk you through the origins and process of this extraordinary craft, and invite you to spend time with thangka rendered entirely in the cloisonné technique — the gaze of a bodhisattva, the curve of a lotus throne, each line built from thread upon thread of delicate wire. To truly look at one is already a kind of practice.
Return in Sound
A healing singing bowl is not played for performance. It is played for resonance. Asthe tone opens into the air — low, sustained, alive — it moves through skin and settles into bone, loosening knots you had long forgotten were there. This is not simply a listening experience. It is a full invitation to the body, the mind, the emotions, and the spirit — a chance to find your own frequency again, on the far side of noise.
Pause is Another Way Forward
Every participant will take home a bundle of Tibetan handcrafted natural incense — fully handmade, vegan, and pure, blended from fourteen ingredients including golden grass, white sandalwood, saffron, and agarwood. No additives. No preservatives. Light one stick and let twenty-five minutes of quiet scent carry the stillness of this afternoon a little further into your evening.
Pause — to find oneself
Pause — to hear oneself
Pause — to become oneself
