The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) is one of Asia’s oldest and most reputable platforms for filmmakers, film professionals and filmgoers from all over the world to launch new work and experience outstanding films. The festival screens over 200 titles from 50 countries and regions at major cultural venues in Hong Kong.

HKIFF47 honours Soi Cheang as this year’s Filmmaker-in-Focus. Cheang is one of Hong Kong’s most stylish and formidable film directors. The retrospective showcase will include a series of screenings featuring 12 of his seminal works, along with a commemorative book. Cheang will also share his insights and vision with the public through a face-to-face sharing session.
