Organised by the Music Office, the Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows is an annual inter-school event held in November and December. It facilitates mutual exchange among the Chinese orchestras, symphony orchestras, string orchestras and symphonic bands. The participating groups will receive comments from professional musicians. Awards are presented to participating groups for encouragement. The Symphony Orchestra Interflow is arranged in 4 classes: Primary School Class A, Primary School Class B, Secondary School Class A and Secondary School Class B. Around 50 school orchestras will take part in the Symphony Orchestra Interflow this year.
