“Chiselled brilliance and melting lyricism”
BELFAST TELEGRAPH
Two Irish music gems come together in this grand concert to kick start CCOHK’s 2025-2026 season. Barry Douglas, the internationally acclaimed Irish pianist and gold medallist of the 1986 International Tchaikovsky Competition, performs the emperor of Beethoven’s piano concertos under the baton of Vahan Mardirossian. CCOHK completes the evening with a symphony conceived on a jolting car ride through the Irish countryside by Sir Arthur Sullivan, composer of Gilbert and Sullivan fame.
