To echo the theme More than Joy of the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2025, the exhibition will focus on the comedies of the 1980s and 1990s. A wide selection of highlights from these films will be presented in this exhibition, offering an amusing window into our past. As one of the highlights, Roomfuls of Laughter showcases almost a hundred classic clips of Hong Kong comedy by category, analysing the components that make up the humor. Oral History: Our Comedy Hour features interviews with cast and crew about the art and techniques behind making comedy films. Happy Karaoke Sing-A-Long recreates the early karaoke bars of yesteryear, playing a mix of classic songs from comedies. There are numerous photo spots and interactive installations waiting for you to discover the various intricacies within.
