Welcome to Tai Kwun Contemporary’s Family Day! Let’s rediscover the poetry of our interactions with each other, taking a cue from artist On Kawara’s transformation of ordinary words and dates on postcards into meditations on time, existence, and human connections.

This Family Day workshop will be led by local artists MUDWORK, who are thinking of On Kawara’s I Got Up series, documentation of his life experiences on postcards that captured mundane moments with special meaning. Parents and children will collaborate to create "memory postcards" for each other. We will reinterpret ordinary moments—whether a simple phrase or a seemingly insignificant gesture. These repetitive, everyday details are the truest imprints we leave on each other.
